Stratford Man Sentenced For Fentanyl Distribution, Gun Possession A Fairfield County man who admitted to selling dangerous fentanyl pills disguised as pain medication will spend two and a half years in prison. Stratford resident Luis Colon, age 51, was sentenced to 32 months behind bars Tuesday, July 12, in federal court in Hartford. It followed his March 2021 guilty pleas to charges of conspiring to possess and distribute fentanyl, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Danbury Man Sentenced For Engaging In, Filming Illicit Sexual Acts With Child A Connecticut man will spend decades in prison after admitting that he drove hundreds of miles to pick up a 14-year-old girl for sex and then recorded the abuse. Shooting Outside Capital District Bar Leaves Two Hospitalized Police are asking for the public’s help after a shooting outside of a Capital District bar sent two people to the hospital. Police were called just after 2 a.m. Friday, July 15, with reports of shots fired in Schenectady at the Saw Mill Tavern on South Avenue. Trapped Elderly Woman Rescued After Tree Falls On Home During Severe Storm In Capital District An elderly woman from the Capital District has a whole host of public agencies to thank for rescuing her after a downed tree trapped her inside her home during a storm. Washington County resident Penelope Perry, age 75, was at her Fort Edward home on North River Road at around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, when severe winds sent a large tree crashing through her roof.
