Yonkers 21-Year-Old Killed In Crash Remembered As 'Hard Worker From Birth' A 21-year-old who was killed in a fiery crash in Westchester County is being remembered as a hard worker who loved his family and friends. Paul Fitzpatrick, of Yonkers, died Sunday morning, July 17, following the wreck on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh, according to New York State Police. Power Outages Hit Capital District For Third Day This Week For the third time this week, some homes and businesses in the Capital District have found themselves without electricity. In Rensselaer County, reports of power outages began popping up on social media at around 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 20. Around 4,000 customers lost power in the North Greenbush and Rensselaer areas due to an equipment failure, according to National Grid spokesperson Patrick Stella. Capital District Man Admits To Conspiring To Distribute Fentanyl, Cocaine Two federal convicts, including one from the Capital District, have again found themselves in hot water for allegedly conspiring to sell fentanyl and cocaine in the region. Albany resident Ramion Burt, age 45, and Marion Frampton, age 43, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty to drug-related charges Monday, July 18, in federal court in Albany. New York State Police stopped the men on I-87 in Catskill in February 2021 as they drove from New York City to Albany. Capital District Man Accused Of Menacing Troopers With Hammer A man from the Capital District is facing charges after he allegedly threatened New York State Police troopers with a hammer. Troopers in Saratoga County first encountered the man at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16, while attempting to stop his vehicle for speeding on State Route 146A in the town of Clifton Park. First Case Of Monkeypox Confirmed In Capital District Authorities have confirmed the first case of monkeypox in the Capital District. The case was identified in Albany County by a person with a history of out-of-state travel, Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy announced Tuesday, July 19. 39-Year-Old Killed After ATV Crash In Capital District A 39-year-old man has died following an ATV crash in the Capital District. New York State Police said troopers in Warren County were called to the town of Horicon at around 8 p.m. Saturday, July 16, with reports that an ATV rider had wrecked on Hayesburg Road.
