Capital District Couple Tied Dog To Tree In Woods, Abandoned Him, Police Say A couple from the Capital District has been criminally charged after police said they tied their one-year-old dog to a tree in the woods and then abandoned him. Saratoga County residents Noah Center, age 24, and Ashleigh Allen, age 22, both of Corinth, were arrested Thursday, July 14, on multiple charges stemming from the incident. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Center and Allen left the Heeler mix, named Quade, tied up in a wooded area off Route 9 in Corinth, where he remained for at least two days. Woman Busted On Thruway With BAC Over Three Times Legal Limit, Police Say A 37-year-old woman was arrested after she was allegedly busted for drunk driving on the New York State Thruway, authorities said. Troopers in Ulster County stopped the woman’s car just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, in the town of New Paltz for multiple vehicle and traffic violations, according to New York State Police. They determined the driver, Allison Aber, of Malta in Saratoga County, was intoxicated and arrested her. Police Issue Alert For Convicted Rapist From Capital District Who Failed To Re-Register Authorities in the Capital District have issued an alert for a convicted rapist they say failed to update his sex offender registration. Troy Police said William Goodman, age 47, is a Level 3 Sex Offender wanted for several felony violations of New York State Corrections law, including failure to register. Goodman, whose last known address is in Troy, was convicted in 1992 for the forcible rape of a woman in Troy, police said. Capital District Man Stabbed By Ex-Girlfriend's 10-Year-Son On Her Orders, Police Say A Capital District man is recovering after he was allegedly stabbed by his ex-girlfriend’s 10-year-old son on her orders, authorities said. Albany police were called to a home on North Manning Boulevard near Third Street at around 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, with reports that a man had been stabbed during a domestic altercation. Man Accused Of Menacing 18-Year-Old Woman With Pistol After Crash In Area A 52-year-old man is facing criminal charges after police said he brandished a gun following a car crash in the Hudson Valley. Bergen County Driver Charged In Hit-Run Crash That Killed NY Nail Tech A New Jersey driver has been charged in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 48-year-old nail technician from Vietnam on the New York State Thruway in May, authorities said. NYC Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child In Dobbs Ferry A man is behind bars, accused of sexually abusing a child in the region. Charles Barbaro, age 53, of Brooklyn, was arrested Thursday, July 12, following an investigation by New York State Police and the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center. Investigators said Barbaro sexually assaulted a victim under the age of 13 in the village of Dobbs Ferry. He was arraigned on a felony charge of criminal sexual act before the village of Dobbs Ferry Court and ordered held at the Westchester County jail on $50,000 bond. Barbaro is due back in court Thursday, July 14.
