Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Washington DC Has Highest Divorce Rate In Nation The top 10 US states with the highest divorce rate, revealed that Washington, DC has the highest divorce rate in the nation, according to a new study by Texas Divorce Laws. The District of Columbia is first with almost 21% divorce rate despite the lower married population. Four Middle Schoolers In Maryland Fall Ill After Eating Drug-Laced Candy: Reports Four middle school students in Parkville got sick after eating drug-laced candy at school, reports CBS News. The students were taken by ambulance to a hospital. Maryland Legalizes Recreational Marijuana Maryland voted to legalize recreational marijuana use Tuesday night during the midterm elections, according to multiple projections. The initiative, listed as Question 4 on the ballot, allows adults over 21-years-old to possess, smoke and grow marijuana which will become effective in July 2023. Those over 21 will be able to possess up to 1.5 ounces of marijuana beginning on July 1, 2023. Until July, marijuana will remain illegal but decriminalized in Maryland. Couple Heading To Vote Killed By Vehicle Near Maryland Polling Place Identified An elderly pair that were fatally hit by a vehicle while walking to go vote in Gaithersburg have been identified, authorities say. Ana Margarita Ortiz, 70, and Miguel Antonio Ortiz, 65, were killed after being struck around 7:20 a.m., while they were crossing School Drive near Fields Road Elementary School, according to Montgomery County Police.
