Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Water Main Break Sends Montgomery County Public School Students Home Early Several Montgomery County schools closed after a water main break in Germantown, reports My Montgomery Community Media. Northwest and Seneca Valley High Schools dismissed students at 11:30 a.m., while Great Seneca Creek and Clopper Mill elementary schools closed at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16 continues the outlet. Emergency repairs are being made to a 24-inch water main on Clopper Road after the main broke, causing water service interruption to the area. Dump Truck Rollover Causes Massive Traffic Delay On I-495 In Montgomery County Traffic is backed up after a dump truck rollover on I-495, according to MDOT. A dump truck rollover spilled debris over the roadway causing traffic delays after the crash shut down traffic in both directions shortly before noon, Friday, Dec. 16, according to multiple reports. Child Charged With Attempted Murder After Robbery Gone Wrong A teenager has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after a shooting that occurred earlier this month, authorities say. The 16-year-old was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 14 after being connected to the Friday, Dec. 2 shooting, according to Baltimore police. Police say that the teenager shot a 62-year-old man in the 100 block of West Hamburg Street during the course of a robbery. The teenager was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged.

Jason Tyler Crawford was heading west on Route 100 in a Honda Accord EX when he lost control near the I-97 overpass and struck a concrete barrier around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, Anne Arundel County police said.
