Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

Oxon Hill Popeyes Killer Sentenced For Stabbing Man Who Cut In Line For Food A man who stabbed a person to death outside of a Popeyes in Oxon Hill has been sentenced to over two decades in prison, reports WJLA. Ricoh McClain, 32, was convicted last April of killing Kevin Davis, 27, outside of the restaurant in the 6200 block of Livingston Road on Nov. 4, 2019 after Davis allegedly cut several people in line to order food, the outlet continues. McClain and Davis got into an argument about the incident before walking outside where McClain fatally stabbed Davis. McClain has been sentenced to serve 22 years in prison for the murder. Police Search For Suspect Vehicle After Hit And Run Kills Pedestrian Police are investigating a hit and run that killed a pedestrian overnight in Laurel, authorities say. The victim was reportedly struck by a Ford Explorer in the 9600 block of Washington Boulevard around 10:45 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, according to Howard County police. The man was rushed to the Howard County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Washington Boulevard was closed in both directions for approximately two and a half hours. Blood Trail Leads To Attempted Murder Victim In Baltimore A trail of blood led police to a victim of a Baltimore shooting that occurred overnight, authorities say. Police responded to a Shot Spotter alert in the 1700 block of Asquith Street around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, where they did not find a victim, but instead a trail of blood, according to Baltimore police. Officers were then able to follow the trail of blood to a home in the 1700 block of Lamont Avenue where they found the 51-year-old victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
