Driver Killed In Head-On Capital Region Crash That Injured Second Motorist A head-on crash on a busy roadway in the region left one man dead and another motorist injured during the morning commute. The Albany County wreck happened at around 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 in Colonie, on State Route 9 near Old Loudon Road. Colonie Police said a Subaru was heading northbound on State Route 9 when the driver crossed over the median and struck a southbound Volkswagen head on. Alert Issued For Capital Region 15-Year-Old Missing For 10 Days Police in the region are asking for help in locating a missing teenage girl who hasn’t been seen in over a week. Rensselaer County resident Francis Jett, age 15, was last seen in Troy on Saturday, Feb. 17, according to East Greenbush Police. No other information was given.
