Police Looking For Man Accused Of Stealing $1.2K In Merch From Long Island Macy's Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing over $1,000 in merchandise from a Long Island Macy’s store. The theft occurred at around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Macy’s in Valley Stream, located at the Green Acres Mall, according to Nassau County Police. Surveillance footage captured the man walking out of the store with various clothing items valued at $1,263. Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car On Long Island A man is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a car on Long Island, authorities said. Emergency crews in Bethpage were called at around 4:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, with reports of a crash involving a pedestrian, Nassau County Police said. Investigators said the 57-year-old man was crossing Hempstead Turnpike near Stewart Avenue when he was struck by a westbound sedan driven by a 73-year-old man. He suffered serious body trauma and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, police said. The driver remained at the scene. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Merry Christmas: NY Lawmakers To Become Highest Paid In US After Approving Raise New York State lawmakers have voted to give themselves a significant pay raise days before Christmas, a move that would make them the highest paid in the country. Meeting for a special session in Albany on Thursday, Dec. 22, the legislature approved a bill that raises member pay by $32,000, bringing their total annual compensation to $142,000, beginning in 2023.
