Two Teenagers Killed In Jackson Crash: Police Two teenagers were killed and three others were injured in a crash in Jackson Township, early Friday, May 23, authorities said. At 4:39 a.m., officers responded to North Hope Chapel Road and New Central Avenue after a vehicle struck a tree, Jackson Township police said. The two victims were pronounced dead at 5:26 a.m., while the other three occupants, all teenagers, were transferred to a nearby hospital, police said. The identity of the victims has not been released, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.

Newark Man Killed After Car Strikes Tree On Route 78: Njsp A 48-year-old Newark man was killed in a car crash after striking a tree on Route 78 in Newark Thursday evening, May 22, authorities said. At 9:59 p.m., troopers responded to the scene after a Nissan 350Z was traveling west on the Route 78 ramp from Route 1 and 9, before veering off the roadway to the left and striking a tree, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.   The driver, Gregory Williams, was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
