Man Fatally Struck By Train In Summit: NJ Transit A man was fatally struck by a train near Summit Station, early Tuesday morning, May 27, authorities said. At 1:28 a.m., Morris and Essex Line train 6907, which departed New York Penn Station and was en route to Dover, struck and fatally injured the man, NJ Transit said.  There were no injuries reported to the approximately 50 customers or crew on board, NJ Transit said.
