Manalapan Mayor's Wife Charged With Theft In Freehold: Officials Jennifer Nelson, a 52-year-old Manalapan woman and the wife of Mayor Eric Nelson, was recently charged with stealing more than $5,000 in items and cash from a Freehold residence where she worked as a housekeeper, authorities said. Nelson was a housekeeper for eight years at the home where she took cash and jewelry, Freehold Township police said. Newark Man Convicted Of Shooting Man In Back In Orange: Prosecutor A 34-year-old Newark man was convicted on Wednesday, May 28, of murder in the first degree murder in a 2020 shooting death in Orange, authorities said. On Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, Marcus Wright confronted 25-year-old Wisguen Marc near 193 Main St. in Orange and pulled a handgun on him, Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II said.
