Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Bicyclist Fights For Life After Being Hit By Car In Crash That Shut Down Maryland Highway A bicyclist is fighting for their life after being hit by a vehicle in Rockville, reports NBC Washington. The bicyclist was reportedly hit by the vehicle on Rockville Pike around 8:40 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, causing life-threatening injuries, continues the outlet. The man was rushed to a hospital where he is receiving treatment. The driver remained on the scene. Southbound Rockville Pike was closed for hours for the investigation but has since been reopened. Maryland Child Airlifted To Hospital After Being Hit By Car While Riding Four-Wheeler A young teen is seriously injured after a being hit by a vehicle while riding an ATV across a Maryland road, authorities say. The 16-year-old Lothian girl was reportedly struck by a Honda Civic around 6 p.m., in the 800 block of Mount Zion Marlboro Road, according to Anne Arundel County police. Man Left For Dead After Being Shot Multiple Times In Baltimore Police are investigating a murder in Baltimore after a man was shot in the Eastern District, authorities say. Officers were able to locate the 36-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds around 7 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, in the 5000 block of East Monument Street, according to Baltimore police. Massive Pile Of Trash Dumped In Parking Lot Goes Up In Flames, Closes Down Maryland Roadway Montgomery County Officials have put out a traffic alert after roadways were blocked in an effort to extinguish a large pile of burning trash dumped in a parking lot, authorities say. The massive pile of garbage was dumped in a parking lot in the 5000 block of Nicholson Lane between Nebel Street and Boiling Brook Parkway, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue officials. A trash truck also reportedly caught fire, resulting in Nicholson lane being blocked in both directions between Nebel Street and Bolingbrook Parkway. It is unclear when the lanes will reopen.

Man Found Dead On Maryland Roadway Police are investigating a collision after a pedestrian was killed in Prince George's County, authorities say. Officers located the victim in the roadway in the 4400 block of northbound Brand Avenue shortly before 4 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, according to Prince George's County police. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the striking vehicle reportedly stayed on the scene after the collision. Murder Charges Dismissed Against Maryland Mother Accused Of Killing Young Children A Maryland woman suspected of killing her two young children in 2014 will not stand trial after a judge ruled that she remains incompetent and dismissed murder charges against her, according to multiple reports.
