Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Stranger Accused Of Murdering Maryland Teen Arrested, Motive Still Unknown, Police Say A Hyattsville man has been arrested after brutally stabbing and killing a Maryland teenager, authorities say. Rasheed Anwar, 65, is accused of fatally stabbing Therry Buhdeng, 19, on Wednesday, Nov. 16 around 11:45 a.m., in the 4600 block of Baltimore Avenue, according to Prince George’s County police. Police discovered Buhdeng suffering from a stab wound and rushed him to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, Dec. 1. Teacher Turns In Student Found Armed At Maryland High School A Maryland high school student is in custody after taking a gun to school, authorities say. The 16-year-old boy was found armed with a ghost gun at Central High School around 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6 after a teacher notified a School Resource Officer that the boy had a gun, according to Prince George's County police. The teen has been charged as an adult with handgun on person, dangerous weapon on school property, possession of a firearm by a minor, and loaded handgun on person.

Bar Security Guard Who Pepper Sprayed, Hit, Killed Soccer Coach Charged With Murder Police have arrested a murder suspect after gathering enough evidence for a warrant after he was accused of violently killing a man who through a brick toward him last month, authorities say. Virginia Wawa Grand Opening Includes Giveaways, Free Food To Community Wawa has announced the grand opening of their newest store, set to be located in Stafford, officials confirm. On Friday, Dec. 9, the brand new Wawa store, located at 1172 Garrisonville Road, will open to the public, according to Wawa officials. Maryland Murder Suspect Ripped Out Of Hiding, Arrested Police have arrested a Baltimore suspect accused of murdering a man last month, authorities say. Josh Roberts, 27, was located and arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 29, after being connected to the Monday, Nov. 28 murder or Khalil Tatum, according to Baltimore police. Police believe that Roberts shot Tatum in the 3600 block of Woodland Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. Medics pronounced Tatum dead at the scene of the crime.
