Inmate Assaults, Injures Corrections Officer At Capital Region Jail, Police Say A jail inmate in the region is accused of attacking a corrections officer, leaving them with injuries requiring medical attention. The incident happened Monday, Dec. 4, at the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in Ballston Spa. Sheriff’s officials said Godfrey Waldron, age 44, of Saratoga Springs, assaulted a corrections officer, injuring the officer’s face. The officer was treated at the scene before being taken to Malta Med Emergent Care for further treatment. Waldron was arraigned in Milton Town Court and was ordered held at the jail without bail.
