Kathy Hochul confirmed her office was investigating allegations that he mishandled internal personnel complaints. 17-Year-Old Intentionally Set Fire That Burned 11 NICE Buses On Long Island, Police Say A 17-year-old boy is facing charges for allegedly starting a fire that burned nearly a dozen public transit buses on Long Island. Fire crews in Nassau County were initially called at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, with reports that a Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) bus was on fire in Seaford. Scammer Nabbed For Swindling NY Homebuyer Out Of $45K, Police Say A man accused of bilking a New York homebuyer out of tens of thousands of dollars through an email scam has been nabbed by police. Maryland resident Emeka Ndukwu, age 50, of Lanham in Prince George's County, was arraigned on Long Island on Saturday, Oct. 1, on a felony charge of grand larceny in Nassau County Court.. Drunk Driver Nabbed After Striking Stopped Car, Fleeing In Capital Region, Police Say A Capital Region man is facing charges after allegedly driving drunk and hitting a stopped vehicle before fleeing the scene, authorities said. State police in Saratoga County were called at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, with reports of a two-car crash in Corinth on Stark Road. Man Killed In Industrial Accident In Capital Region Remembered As 'Friend You Could Count On' Friends and loved ones are mourning the loss of a man who was killed in an on-the-job accident at a rock quarry in the region. Rensselaer County resident Darren Miller, of Grafton, died Saturday, Oct. 1, at the age of 35, according to his obituary. State police said Miller was working at R.J.
