Saratoga County resident Tyler Scocca, age 17, of Galway, died in a rollover crash in the town of Providence on Sunday evening, June 25, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Albany Police officers were called at around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, June 25, with reports of a shooting near Myrtle Avenue and Philip Street, one block east of the governor’s mansion. When emergency crews arrived, they found 28-year-old Deandre Morrison, of Albany, suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. 'Stiff Penalty' For Traveler Caught With Loaded Gun At Capital Region Airport Security screeners stopped a man from carrying a loaded gun onto a plane at an airport in the region. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers made the discovery Monday, June 19, at Albany International Airport, the agency announced. During a routine X-ray screening, the Troy man was found to have a loaded .380 caliber gun inside his duffle bag along with his clothing.
