2-Car Crash Shuts Down Busy Hudson Valley Intersection, Sends Person To Hospital A two-vehicle crash caused a busy Hudson Valley intersection to close for almost an hour and caused injuries.  The collision happened in Putnam County on Sunday, July 21 just after 5:30 p.m., when two cars crashed at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road (Route 34) in Mahopac.  According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, one person received medical transport while another was taken to a hospital.  The intersection was closed for around 40 minutes until the cars involved were removed.

Driver Hospitalized After Striking Fire Hydrant On Road In Millwood Several water mains had to be turned off after a driver hit a Northern Westchester fire hydrant while experiencing a medical emergency. The crash happened in Millwood on Saturday, July 13 just before 10:30 a.m., when a vehicle struck a hydrant near the intersection of Seven Bridges Road and Millwood Road (Route 133), according to the Millwood Fire Department.
