Five people have been charged in connection with a violent gunpoint home invasion robbery in the town of Wallkill in Orange County, during which a family, including four young children, was terrorized.
Acting U.S. Attorney Edward Y. Kim announced the arrests alongside FBI Assistant Director in Charge James E. Dennehy on Thursday, Jan. 16.
The suspects—Bhupinderjit Singh, 26, Elijaiah Roman, 22, Corey Hall, 45, Erik Suarez, 24, and Divya Kumari, 26—were taken into custody and will face charges in White Plains federal court.

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office announced that Derrick Woodhouse, age 50, of Poughkeepsie, has been sentenced to 20 years to life for kidnapping and 2 to 4 years for attempted robbery following his conviction by a Dutchess County jury.
The charges stem from a harrowing incident on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2023, when Woodhouse abducted a pregnant woman and two minor children at knifepoint in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Man Charged With Fatal Shooting Of 20-Year-Old Pleasant Valley Resident
Dutchess County District Attorney Anthony Parisi announced that Thomas Case, age 53, has been charged with murder in the second degree in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man.
Case, a Pleasant Valley resident, was arraigned on Monday, Jan. 13, for the Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, shooting death of Anthony Cuozzo in Pleasant Valley, said Dutchess County District Attorney Anthony Parisi.
He was also arraigned on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Authorities allege that Case intentionally killed Cuozzo by shooting him multiple times with a semi-automatic pistol.
