19: Diagnostic Drive-Through Testing Clinic Scheduled In Putnam
The Putnam County Department of Health is holding another drive-through testing clinic for essential workers and residents with symptoms of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The COVID-19 diagnostic drive-thru testing clinic will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 5, the location has not been announced. The testing, which is not antibody testing, is limited to 150 people who live or work in Putnam County. As the number of positive cases of the novel strain of the coronavirus (COVID-19) climbs, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that all schools statewide will be closed for a minimum of two weeks, and maybe more. During his daily news conference on the outbreak, on Monday, March 16, Cuomo announced he is working with the state Education Department to ensure that all schools are shut down to help curtail the rapid spread of COVID-19. A Stamford elementary school will be closed for a week to give crews time to remove mold from the building.
