Marcos Alcaraz, of the Bronx, was locked up at Eastern Correctional Facility in Napanoch when the fire broke out around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, July 18, New York State Police said. Prison staff put out the fire and found Alcaraz inside; he was rushed to Ellenville Regional Hospital and pronounced dead, according to police.
