A homeless man who busted into a Long Island laundromat and grabbed some soap was arrested and later injured police officers in an ambulance, authorities said.
Michael Torres, 34, was arrested Sunday night, Sept. 20 in East Meadow, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Torres entered Rapid 2 Laundromat on Hempstead Turnpike around 10:30 p.m., entered a staff-only area, shoved a 34-year-old man working at the business, and grabbed two bottles of soap, police said.

A drunk Long Island teenager hit a guardrail and flipped his car but escaped without injury, police said.
Marek Alexander Amraly, 19, of Quogue, was traveling westbound on Old Country Road in East Quogue around 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Amraly then left his travel lane near Gleason Drive and collided with a guardrail, which caused the car to overturn, police said. Amraly was not injured, according to investigators.

Said Solano Medina, 23, of Hampton Bays, was found at the scene of a one-car crash around 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
