A taxi driver was allegedly kidnapped, threatened with a knife, and robbed by two passengers during a ride from Queens to Suffolk County, prosecutors announced on Wednesday, June 3.
James Davender, 20, and Antoine Sims, 20, both of Wyandanch, were indicted on charges including Second-Degree Kidnapping, First-Degree Robbery, and Second-Degree Robbery, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.
The pair allegedly ordered a taxi to take them from Far Rockaway to Wyandanch around 1 p.m. on April 22, according to the investigation.

A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting two people during a neighborhood argument, police announced on Wednesday, June 3.
Matthew McCue, 37, of Woodside Road, Mastic Beach, was charged in connection with the shooting that left a man and woman injured outside a Mastic Beach home on Monday night, according to Suffolk County Police.
McCue is charged with two counts of Attempted Assault First Degree, two counts of Assault Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon Second Degree, and Reckless Endangerment First Degree, police said.
