Vehicle Fire Shuts Lanes On Route 80, Major Delays Reported A vehicle fire closed multiple lanes on Route 80 in both directions Wednesday afternoon, June 17, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The fire was reported as of 1:56 p.m. near Exit 56 in Paterson NJDOT said. Two of four westbound lanes were closed, while one of four eastbound lanes was closed, according to NJDOT. Major delays were being reported in both directions. Motorists were advised to expect delays in the area as emergency crews responded.
