A four-vehicle crash with injuries was delaying traffic on Interstate 295 on Wednesday morning, May 8, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:50 a.m. on I-295 northbound near Exit 65 (Sloan Avenue) in Hamilton Township, according to the NJDOT and New Jersey State Police. Based on a preliminary investigation, a collision occurred between four passenger vehicles, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a NJSP spokesman. A traffic light was down in Holmdel after a crash near an exit for the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. Howell Township police said Route 33 was closed between Yellow Brook Road and Route 34 on Tuesday, Apr. 2 for a "serious crash investigation," the department said in a Facebook post. A tractor-trailer overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about noon on Wednesday, March 27 at the entrance from Route 18 to Interchange 9 in East Brunswick, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Based on a preliminary investigation, a Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling west towards the tolls, according to New Jersey State Police.
