A Yale University student is facing serious charges after police said a woman was sexually abused aboard a Manhattan subway train, leading to his arrest weeks later.
Ari Shtein, 18, of Washington, D.C., is accused of sexually abusing a 30-year-old woman aboard a northbound R train around 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, near West 28th Street and Broadway, according to the New York City Police Department.
He was arrested Wednesday morning, July 8, and charged with aggravated sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He was released without bail, police said.

Two people were arrested after a police chase ended in a crash outside a Connecticut diner, authorities said.
Donovan Rice, 26, of Manchester, and Rebecca Lindblom, 28, of Rockville, were arrested after a pursuit that began in Tolland and ended in Vernon around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, when troopers stopped a Toyota Camry at Route 30 and Old Post Road.
