Police ID Norwich Man Who Died In Weekend Crash; Bystanders Tried To Save His Life Police in Connecticut have identified the 67-year-old man who died in a weekend crash. Paul Daley, of Norwich, was the driver and only person in the vehicle that crashed on Taftville-Occum Road in Norwich, near the River View Lane Condominium Complex, shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, police said.  Bystanders heard the crash and rushed to help. They performed CPR on Daley before Norwich police, firefighters, and paramedics arrived.  An ambulance took Daley to William W. Backus Hospital.
