A man wanted for murder in Ohio was arrested in Connecticut after police said he fled from officers near the scene of an earlier shooting, authorities said. Officers also recovered a gun and drugs during the arrest.
Khaliq Hunt, of Greensboro, North Carolina, was arrested in Meriden on Tuesday, May 12, after police spotted him near Pratt Street and Mill Street, the scene of an earlier shooting, authorities said.
Meriden police spotted Hunt walking nearby soon after the shooting. When officers tried to approach him, Hunt sprinted away, police said.

‘Fortnite’ Predator: CT Man Admits Sexually Exploiting Nearly 90 Children, Feds Say
A Connecticut man admitted in federal court to producing child porn and sexually exploiting children online through the video game Fortnite and social media, according to federal prosecutors.
Sean Sayer, 23, of Naugatuck, pleaded guilty in a New Haven courtroom on Wednesday, May 13, to multiple offenses, U.S. Attorney David X. Sullivan announced.
The investigation began on March 20, 2025, after an 8-year-old boy in Oregon contacted Sayer by text message asking if he was “@fornight_legends” on TikTok, according to court documents.

CT State Trooper Arrested On Felony Charge
A Connecticut state trooper is facing a felony charge after turning himself in to police.
Trooper First Class Marwing Pena, 36, of Glastonbury, surrendered to Troop I on Wednesday, May 13, authorities said. He was charged with computer crime in the third degree, a Class D felony.
State police have not said what Pena is specifically accused of doing.
